General Information
Here are some of the most common Q & A's about the trip:
What are the dates of this year's trip? Friday, May 3 - Sunday, May 5, 2024
What time do the students leave and return? We are leaving Friday morning from BMS at approximately 8:00a and returning to BMS on Sunday afternoon at approximately 2:00p. Students will bring their belongings to school that morning.
What if my child is involved in an activity on Sunday and needs to come home early? This has happened on a few occasions, and we have been able to work it out. However, we will need to discuss this individually closer to the time of the trip.
Does my child need spending money? If so, how much? Yes. Students will need money to pay for their meals and to purchase any souvenirs. Typically, we recommend about $150, but each parent knows what and how much his/her child eats. If your kid eats chicken fingers, that is obviously more cost-effective than if your kid prefers crab legs or a ribeye. Please discuss budgeting and gratuity with your child before the trip.
Do students have to be in dress code on this trip? No. However, students have to be dressed appropriately since they represent Buford Middle School. We will discuss the dress code guidelines with students before the trip and send an informational handout home.
Are students permitted to have their phones with them on the trip/activities? Absolutely. However, as a reminder, this is a school trip. Any inappropriate use of the phone is subject to disciplinary action at school.
